Striker

Holy moly! Are these fierce or what??! I'm totally loving these Dolhouse spiked peep toes because, let's be honest here, how could I ever resist such a tough little stud? And they are very striking indeed. Personally I'm leaning more towards this relatively simple black version with teal accents, but if you feel like going all out, this fuchsia version might be more to your taste.

Either way, you can get these at Amazon for a mere $44.

Casadei score

You guys, you need to get your butt over to the Javari sale, STAT! The discounts are fab and the stock is even fabber. After I received the newsletter announcing the sale, I had already filled my virtual basket with a pair of Steve Maddens, two pairs of Rocket Dog and some Head over Heels peep toes. It added up to about £80. Yeah, that's how good a sale this is. But then I noticed these babies. Casadei!

I've been jealous of Shoeperwoman Amber's amazing Casadei Blade pumps since, like, forever, but I never even considered buying them myself. Not just because of the hefty price tag, but because they're satin. And how often do you get to wear satin shoes in Belgium? I would be crushed if it rained on such pretty shoes... But these Casadei 8129 peep toes are leather patent, and thus a bit more waterproof and resistant. And still have that amazing bladelike heel!

So you already know what happened, right? I canceled everything in my order (except for a pair of overly cute Rocket Dog slingbacks) and pushed these ones in. In fact, who am I kidding, I pushed both the pink and the black in, since I couldn't decide between the two colours. I was soooo tempted by those glorious neon pink ones, but I know that in the end the black was the better choice. Who knows how long bright pink shoes will be appropriate in my life?
Best part: at £174 these were so heavily reduced (almost 60%) that they suddenly fit into my personal budget (luckily it's just the beginning of the month). Plus, the shipping was free! Yeay! So, like I said, go pick out something nice for yourselves too.

On my feet: Bree

These were my only purchase in London: a pair of Schuh courts that I was already planning on ordering anyway (I already wrote about the silver version here). Well, at least I saved myself the shipping costs. Added bonus: I got to try them on, which I'm glad I did, since I actually needed to size down in these.
I really needed a pair of simple black pumps, not too high and not too low, able to survive some rain and above all, comfortable enough for a walk. Up until now, every time I went to visit my parents in my home town, I've travelled with at least two or three pairs of shoes, just for the weekend! Ridiculous! That's where these come in handy, as they'll match absolutely every outfit. I absolutely adore their plain shape and the triple bow, and I'm already waiting for the red version to go on sale.

Elfrink

There is such a thing as the perfect black pump.

I'm pretty sure this is it.

I have £60 burning a hole in my pocket right now.

1 bow, 2 bows, 3 bows...

I couldn't resist showing you these awesome heels as worn by The Cherry Blossom Girl. They're from the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2011 collection, and I'm sure they cost a fortune, but my oh my am I jealous!!

Shoe challenge #48: Golden girl

Cardigan and jeans (H&M),
top (Dorothy Perkins) and
shoes (Fornarina)
Just the simplest of outfits today. After a couple of days of sunny spring weather, the Belgian weather gods have turned their backs on us yet again and have offered us only misery rain (not even the real kind, just those awful drips). Hence turning the street where I work into one muddy mess, since they are redoing the pavements. Ugh. Hope that explains the more practical outfit.

These are a lot more 'goody two-shoes' than what I usually go for, but I just love how sparkly they are in real life. They are rich chocolate brown patent with gold glitter brogue detail. What's not to love? The heel is relatively low for me, about 4 inches/10 centimeters I'd guess, and because of the cone shape they are extremely comfortable. (For me) it's like walking in flats really.

And now I'm off to enjoy some bubbly with my man. We have something to celebrate: I finally signed the deeds on my house, I'll get the keys in a mere month! So exciting!
