Mary Jane

No one does a sparkly mary jane like Miu Miu. Can you even believe this gorgeousness? Knowing me, obviously I was going to fall in love with a fuchsia patent mary jane with glittery heel and sole.

Although I wouldn't exactly turn down the teal and the nude either.

And did I mention the silver and black glitter ones? These will be in stores mid-August. Although I doubt they will be anywhere near my price range. *Le sigh*

Pick nick

I wasn't too keen on the last Miu Miu shoe collection, with the tapered and curved and glittery heels. It looked like they had tried too hard. These though, seem practically effortless. It's a much more sophisticated shape than what I usually favour, but they still seem youthful enough to me. (were it not for that pesky price tag, that is) I think the pointy toe works well on this shoe, and I adore the little bow tie on the slingback. Beautiful height as well.

The checkered uppers slightly remind me of a pick nick cloth, and that's exactly what I'd wear them to: a pick nick in the park. In my mind I see myself frolicking through green meadows while wearing these on my feet. I'd probably combine them with a crisp white summer dress or something. Just to give you an idea:

If you'd like to spend € 497 on these Miu Miu's (or on the fuchsia version), you can pre-order them at Nordstrom.

Shoe challenge #27: Two birds of a feather

Jeans (Diesel), top (Next),
bag (Miss Selfridge)
and shoes (Shoesone)
I love these pink swallow monsters. I'm not sure whether or not I feel the same about the outfit though. I had been thinking about combining my swallows and my flamingos for a while now, but in my mind it looked better. Much better.
Truth be told, I felt rather frumpy all day long. I blame the top. There's something about having curves (aka boobs and a bum) that doesn't work with loose-fitting garments, especially with satins. But hey, at least I was comfortable! I might have to think about altering the beloved flamingo blouse though, make it hug my body a bit more.
Pretend Miu Miu.
On top of that, I needed to uncuff the jeans as soon as I went outside. It has become incredibly cold (almost freezing) and foggy out in the mornings, so I expect to be drowning in a sea of boots only very soon. Boohoo.
Anyway, I adore these shoes. It's not completely fair to opt for such a budget option instead of the real thing, but let's be honest, they don't claim to be the real thing either (not that the quality could fool you anyway). These were a total steal, but sadly Shoesone recently screwed up one of my orders and even though I got my refund in the end, the communication process proved to be quite a hassle.
And yet I am growing more and more fond of the golden flowers and maybe even the black cat ones. And a couple of other styles. I feel an order coming on soon...

To like or not to like, that is the question

When I first saw these, I thought to myself that they were yuck. Yes, the words of a journalist. YUCK. How eloquent of me, right? Well, then this thing happened. I think I kind of started to like them. Wowza. Who would've thought. The sparkly version is still too much for me, but I really love this toned down version:

What do you think? Have I completely lost my mind??

PS: I still hate the daisies and cats motives though.
