Massive shoe haul

Apart from my Nasty Gal order (it'd better get here!!), all my new shoes arrived this week. I was particularly impressed with the service of the Dr. Martens site, as I got a "dispatched" message only two hours after my order, and they arrived on my doorstep within 48 hours after having ordered them. I like!
And they are as gorgeous as I remembered them to be. I do think I'll have to be careful how I style them, as my colleague asked me if I was getting into S&M and the boyfriend worried out loud if they might be a tad slutty? Consider me warned.

My order from Asos made me very happy as well. Both pairs are stunning in the flesh, and the low price I paid for them makes me even happier about my purchase. The Props are amazing, even if the toe is a lot pointier than I had imagined from the product shots (it's why I love websites that offer product shots from literally every angle). The only bad thing I can say about them though, is that it's a pity that they didn't match up the print in the back. One of the heels is rather light, while the other one has a lot of black in it. Oh well. You can't win them all.

The Ablaze wedges, man, those product shots don't even come close to doing them justice!! They are incredible in real life! Much bigger and definitely much more vibrant! And they seem to be very comfortable as well, pfew! Big sigh of relief!
I won't show you my New Look purchases right now, as I have a shoe challenge with the spiked boots coming up next week, and the white trainers aren't very special (and don't photograph well either). I can't wait to show you how I will be styling all these gorgeous puppies!!

Black bingo

Enough with the flatforms already!! Who's buying these? FOR OVER 100 EUROS??! I'll go stare at some Louboutins now to recuperate from these monstrosities...

Twinkle Star

It seems like it's been a long time since I've featured some Irregular Choice shoes. In a good way, I mean. Lately I've been noticing the bad and the ugly, but it's time to give some credit to a job well done too. I'm cheating a little bit, since these aren't exactly a recent design, but they've been on my own wishlist for a while now, so I thought I'd write about them and get them out of my system, instead of actually buying them.

These Twinkle Stars are actually the ballet flat version of the Oz Charms with the perspex heels. It's very rare that I prefer a flat version of anything, but I guess I'm just not a big fan of perspex. And I think the massive bow looks better on the flats, it looks even bigger, and I love the detail of the little cherries charm on the side and the clash of all the different prints.
Because they are from last year, you can get them for only £30 at Letsbuyshoes, which is a great place for discounted Irregular Choice shoes from previous collections by the way.

Hello new lovers!

Pretty much jumping up and down at this point
I was planning on working on an outfit post for my most recent shoe challenge victory, but excuse me if I got sidetracked there. Because there was a Solestruck package waiting for me! I was super happy with their delivery and not just because I was so very anxious to get those hot pink Wilmas on my feet.
Not only were they super speedy (US to Belgium in six or seven working days!), but my mum only needed to pay ten euros in customs taxes to the delivery guy. Score! Not only did I manage to avoid delivery charges, I paid nearly nothing on what usually adds up quite easily to 30 euros... But, let's just get on with the real thing, okay? I know you want to, I'm not going to let you beg. I apologise for the image heavy post in advance.

Waaaaaaaah!!! Look at the sheer madness of those Wilmas! I ordered them a size up, like I was told to by pretty much everyone, but I'm not sure if I needed to. These slipped right on like butter, without any effort whatsoever, and they're quite roomy so I'll have to wear heavy socks in them.

Leopard everywhere!
I just can't tell you enough how gorgeous these are, you should see them in the flash. The gorgeous furry hot pink leopard actually wraps around the entire shoe, even the bottom! The flash on my camera really doesn't do them any justice, as it makes them appear paler than they actually are. And trust me, these are the hottest pink you will have ever seen. Quote my mom: "You are out of your mind". Can you imagine she didn't even mean that as a compliment?

Perfection!
They are amazingly comfortable to walk around in, thanks to the platform, and I can't wait to take these out for a spin. I haven't quite decided if that's going to be tonight though. I'm just going out for a few drinks with my girlies, so that's a pro. But what about everything that could go wrong? It might rain! Someone might step on my foot and thus ruin the gorgeous pony hair! The new boyfriend might not like them, and I'll have to break up with him because of it! Can you imagine my dilemma?!

Just for $10 extra
And as a sidenote: I'm pretty happy with these gold wedges from Carlos Santana as well. They were the extra addition to my shopping cart to avoid delivery charges and they're actually prettier than I expected them to be. They have this gorgeous glitter in the cork wedge, which I hadn't noticed on the website but absolutely love.

Some bling bling
Too bad the straps are made for people with toothpicks for legs, since I can hardly get the strap to fit around my (not exactly fat) ankle. It's actually at the widest possible. Nontheless I have no doubt they'll do good come Summer.

Shoe challenge #28: Grey matches the weather

 Sweater (New Look),
belt (Bandolera), jeans (H&M)
and shoes (Dorothy Perkins)
There are no words for how much I love this new sweater. Looooove. Adoooorbs. If you want to give me one in every colour, please do! It's actually waaay to big on me, which is why I decided to use this fierce belt I had lying around to create a waist and close it up in the front at the same time, since it's like, getting pretty cold over here in this part of the world.

I love the clash between the textures
While I was pondering about which shoes to go with this sweater, I realised the snake print on these pumps would perfectly with this grey, which has some specks of deceiving green in it. I didn't buy these shoes myself, they were a donation from a friend who couldn't take two steps in them. I have heard of the 'no white shoes after Labor day' rule, but hey, they are more cream than white and we don't even have such a holiday in Belgium! So I can do whatever I please!
It might not have been the most polished look ever, but lord was I comfy. My office roomie and I now refer to this sweater as the cuddly sweater, since it's so soft I can't even resist cuddling myself from time to time!

Made for each other

Shoe challenge #27: Two birds of a feather

Jeans (Diesel), top (Next),
bag (Miss Selfridge)
and shoes (Shoesone)
I love these pink swallow monsters. I'm not sure whether or not I feel the same about the outfit though. I had been thinking about combining my swallows and my flamingos for a while now, but in my mind it looked better. Much better.
Truth be told, I felt rather frumpy all day long. I blame the top. There's something about having curves (aka boobs and a bum) that doesn't work with loose-fitting garments, especially with satins. But hey, at least I was comfortable! I might have to think about altering the beloved flamingo blouse though, make it hug my body a bit more.
Pretend Miu Miu.
On top of that, I needed to uncuff the jeans as soon as I went outside. It has become incredibly cold (almost freezing) and foggy out in the mornings, so I expect to be drowning in a sea of boots only very soon. Boohoo.
Anyway, I adore these shoes. It's not completely fair to opt for such a budget option instead of the real thing, but let's be honest, they don't claim to be the real thing either (not that the quality could fool you anyway). These were a total steal, but sadly Shoesone recently screwed up one of my orders and even though I got my refund in the end, the communication process proved to be quite a hassle.
And yet I am growing more and more fond of the golden flowers and maybe even the black cat ones. And a couple of other styles. I feel an order coming on soon...

Out of control

I have been a bad little shopper lately. Ever since I discovered Ebay, I have been buying some (most of all BNWT) clothes there. On top of what I bought in the sales at Asos and Dorothy Perkins. A little impression of my hauls (even if this isn't everything). Look closely and you'll see some Anglomania action (of course I wasn't going to resist the fuchsia) and some Miu Miu lookalikes.

Not included? Everything that's already in the wash (such as the tribal mini I wore last weekend) and everything that still needs to arrive. I'll need to go to the post on Saturday morning to pick up a pair of light blue suede heels, a leopard print faux fur jacket with 3/4 sleeves (that I'm sure I'll love, but not completely sure of whether or not I'll dare wear it outside of my bedroom), a hot pink mac (hubba!) and a gorgeous striped grey skirt.
I can't wait to show you my new bags 'n shoes skirt that I got from Pink Haired Princess and what I lovingly call my Amish skirt (because of the scenery of carts and stuff). But you just know that I really can't wait to combine these two gorgeous prints.

Not tomorrow though. I am going to give speeddating a try, so I'll probably go for a slightly more conservative look than flamingos and swallows. But just slightly.
