Shoe challenge #46: A snow leopard wedding

Dress (Karen Millen)
and shoes (Kurt Geiger)
So finally, after a lot of hard work and a lot of waiting, the day of the wedding came and I was a maid of honour. Or, as we call it in Belgium, a witness for the bride. This is the option I ended up choosing, after a lot of deliberation, between three dresses (all Karen Millen, hence the hard decision). It's a one shoulder snow leopard skin tight dress, not one of those matching fluffy pink cupcakes you sometimes see for the bridesmaids.

Before even deciding on the dress, of course I already knew from the start which shoes to wear. I bought these silver Kurt Geiger Dancers in London, and I've been saving them ever since for Saturday. They're the same size as my red glitter Jasmines (as far as I can tell they have an identical shape to them), but those are slightly too big, while these stayed comfortable throughout the day. Thank God. I topped off the look with this furry oversized clutch from Asos and some minty green nail pollish from OPI.

I got lots of compliments about the dress, and lots about my speech. It was my first day with bare legs this season. I got to help the bride get dressed and ate a lot of delicious things. And oh, I danced. Lots. In these shoes, without having to take them off even once. Can someone say 'new favourites'?

  1. Nice outfit! Not the usual bridesmaid-dress, I like.

  2. Hi Daisy - I found my way over from Shoeperwoman's weekly round up. Terrific outfit - you have a cracking figure and the heel height is perfect with the dress. A welcome change from the usual meringue dresses for sure.
