Viscious

Say what you want about Jeffrey Campbell, but at least the man knows how to put on a good show. His designs are usually different and sometimes even too "out there" to be even wearable (or at least what my feet are concerned), but these Vicious platforms are nothing but real showstoppers, nothing more, certainly nothing less.

I'd be a bit worried walking in these, but man oh man, do I love those neon pink studs! They look more or less bright depending on the angle, but I love the subtle play with the pink, including that adorable pink buckle! The green version looks pretty amazing as well.
I love them, but I'm not sure if I love them more than $210 in my pocket, even if I just got my summer bonus. If you know you want to shell out some hard cash for these, hurry over to Solestruck, because I expect these to sell out fast! (in some colours and sizes they already have)

Echo

How about these babies? We talked about pastels and nudes being big, and this Matiko wedge is literally big. I like these a lot better than the Topshop Sultry ones, because the patent leather gives at least a little bit of vibrancy to these otherwise pale colours. Sadly, these are not only a better take on pastels (according to me), they're also a whole lot more expensive. $200 expensive to be exact.

Andreia Chaves

Behold: the Naked Shoe. Very architectural and interesting, don't you think? It fits like a stiletto shoe, but it looks like a stylized wedge bootie. It makes me long for more, as I think that there's a pretty shoe hidden in that cage. I love the contrast of the soft nude shoe within and the edgier encasement of it.

They're from the same designer that brought us the "Invisible Shoe", comprised of tons of little mirrors to reflect your surroundings. Or better, your feet's surroundings.

As you may have guessed, these don't come cheap though: $2795 and $3995.

In shoe paradise...

Warning: I think I overdid it with the photos...

So. With the national strike going on, I'm working from home today. Which was very convenient, as the furniture store was coming to replace my cabinet, since the last one was faulty. It was also very convenient as I had some errands to run: cobbler, book store, post office! Post. Office. (that was, thank God, open despite the strike) Post office = packages!

Usually for me, that means packages full of shoes! I had been waiting for weeks for my Black Friday purchases, but finally they've arrived safely into my arms!

Even in the box I could already see that the golden Lornas are spectacular. They're truly magnificent, I still can't take my eyes off them. I didn't expect to like them better than my nude ones, but these are striking and I'm so glad I decided to buy them as well. The classic shape, the studded bow, the beautiful metallic uppers... Nothing less than perfection.

The Jeffrey Campbells, I wasn't immediately sure about. The uppers are more textured than I expected them to, more of a canvas fabric than something softer. I also feel the cross straps might be a bit too wide for such a narrow toe, but I've been wearing them on my feet for an hour now, and I feel like I'm already coming to my senses. Pfew!

And now I'll try to resist. Every. Shoe. That crosses my path. (I am so happy that none of the shoes I wanted are included in the Schuh sales, or I would've been very weak. Again.)

These are a few of my favourite things

Wow, Black Friday certainly has had an impact on my bank account. A few shoes on my wishlist went on sale, so I took advantage to score some goodies. Man, am I weak or what? On their way to me: Sam Edelman's Lornas in both nude and metallic gold (told you I was weak) and Jeffrey Campbell's Carmen in pink and red polka dots. Just like I predicted!
I ended up ordering two pairs from Solestruck at 40% reduction of waiting until tomorrow's 50%, so I could save on the free shipping (I barely made the $150 minimum) $150 for a pair of JC's and a pair of Sam Edelmans, not too bad huh?

Can't wait for them to get here!

Black Friday sales!

I'm not an American, but I am quickly starting to love Black Friday and the sales that it brings. One of my favourite websites, Solestruck, is having a massive sale with a little twist: the longer you're able to resist, the bigger the rewards might be. Or... the shoes were lusting for can sell out quickly. Today you can get 30% off with the code FINALSALE30, tomorrow that will be 40% en Sunday even 50%!
Personally I already have my stuff chosen (that you should keep away from, I still want them to be there on Sunday): a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Carmens with pink polkadots, and the Sam Edelman Lornas in metallic gold. Such a pity that they haven't put the nude pair on sale though.

*edit* Just bought the nude Lornas on Nordstrom. I couldn't help myself. Now let's see how long I can keep myself from ordering something on Solestruck...
