Shoe challenge #52: Fuchsia overload

Rain coat (George), jeans (H&M)
and ballet flats (New Look)
The shoe challenge is really coming along! I think I might be finishing sooner than expected, especially since I will probably be getting rid of some shoes when moving house in two weeks. This outfit is from last week, when we had a few grey days. Luckily we have nice sunny weather again at the moment, so I'm back in my lemon dress today, yippy! (more specifically with these shoes, but since this is a shoe challenge blog and not a daily outfit one, no pictures, snorry)

When thinking about what goes well with hot pink, I only have one answer to that question: more hot pink!! I could just pile on the pink until I'm about to suffocate in it. But suffocate in a good way, of course. I love how these New Look ballet flats have glittery jewels (big ass jewels, even!) on them. I'm not always one for the subtil approach. Oh well, who am I kidding. Subtil, me? Hahahahaha.

Here's my beef with this shoes. As you can see, they're already completely ruined in the back. The other shoe looks even worse! After one day of wearing them, the satin was completely rubbed through. Bollocks. No way to repair them either. I guess I'll only wear them with long trousers... Sorry pink bejewelled ballet flats, no skirts for you!

Shoe challenge #22: From rockabilly to electro

Dress (Hell Bunny),
bow tights (Accessorize),
belt (H&M) and
shoes (Dorothy Perkins)
What do you wear to an electro dance party? Why, a fifties inspired rockabilly dress of course! What else? This is actually the first time I wore this dress. In hindsight, I think it would look even better with a more pinkish/less purple shoe, or with these. But, like so many others among you, I'm not too sure about combining peeptoes and tights. I'll definitely give it a try though, once we've passed the tights required weather.

Pin-ups and flowers all over!
For this look I decided to whip out the red lipstick as well, it really complimented this look. And I have decided I should really wear lipstick more often, it makes you feel that much more ladylike and sexy without having to make too much of an effort!

Yet another bow
These purple platforms were on sale at Dorothy Perkins a couple of months ago, and I love the bow on the side. Even if they do look a little cheap and cardbord-y, in a way (from afar) they kind of echo these beautiful babies. And now I really need 700+ euros to buy those pumps.

Shoe challenge #8: Halfway there

Purple jeans and sweater (H&M),
scarf (Bombay market) and shoes (Bangkok market)
My colleagues' first reaction this morning: how low my shoes were. I do believe the look on their faces was disappointment. Truth is, I just didn't feel like wearing sky high heels today, after a busy weekend and all. Yes, those days do happen. Very rarely, but still. While picking out shoes I realised I hardly own any midheels, next to stilettos and ballet flats.
I bought these blush court shoes in Bangkok, after three months of backpacking in Birkenstocks. (Yes, I'll have to show you those at one point or another as well) They were ridiculously cheap of course (4 euros to be more precise),  meant to wear on the flight home (since it was considerably colder in Belgium compared to when I left) and hardly worn ever since.
They are enough of a nude shade to lengthen the legs though. And we all know my legs need a good lengthening, with me being 5' 3" and all. Yes. I am an undercover leprechaun. Don't tell anyone.
