Shoe challenge #42: Cookies
I felt like doing something completely different today. So I did. I switched things up like it was nobody's business. No bare legs, and no cleavage in sight (even if the boobies are kind of my trademark). Also, maybe I was too lazy to shave my legs this morning. Hooray for maxi skirts!
I thought my Dany's would look good with a maxi skirt, and this ancient one (I've had it since I was 15 or 16) is the only one I own. I paired it with a Cookie Monster shirt, and I was. So. Comfortable! And I felt really really tall as well. Hooray for sky high yet comfortable heels!

Coast is clear
I spotted these wedges over at Modcloth, and I would've never have guessed at first glance that they were Jessica Simpson, until my eagle eye noticed the logo on the innersole. I've never liked Jessica Simpson as a person, by which I mean as a singer or an actress, since I don't know her personally, but I have liked her shoe designs from the beginning. They're usually not the most innovative or original, but they fall within a good price range as well.
I love the tan leather with the cream coloured canvas and the stripes, but you already know by now how I feel about the placement of that ankle strap. Hello, stumpy legs! If you can see past that, you can pay $98 for them at Modcloth, or check out the navy or the orange version as well at Amazon for the same price.

Creme edgy sandals
Today I'm drooling over these. Oh Jessica Simpson, who would have ever thought I wanted to wear anything from you? But, I must say, the woman knows her shoes.

Shoe challenge #33: Purple rain

| Dress (Dorothy Perkins), random black tights and shoes (Jessica Simpson Dany's) |
For work I wore this with some simple black stiletto knee boots, but for drinks with friends I switched to these more daring shoes. They are slightly too big on me since I ordered them a size up, but I'm planning to add a extra hole in the strap, so they'll fit tighter around my ankle.
Even with this small problem these are super comfortable to walk in, and they received a lot of remarks and compliments. So happy I'll be able to wear these all year around, with or without tights. Next time I'm thinking about pairing them up with some contrasting tights instead, like opaque white or even yellow.

I heart Dany

I have fallen head over heels (haha) with these, they are even prettier than I expected. Even though they were pretty pricey (having ordered them from the US and all), they were totally worth it. The lush plum colour is heavenly.
True, I have yet to wear them, but once one they are surprisingly comfortable. With that ridiculously high platform, your feet are hardly elevated, as you can tell from the slope of my foot in the pics. I ordered an 8, but I could've done with a 7,5 or even a 7. Then again, I hate it when I'm wearing peep toes and my little piggies are balancing over the edge.
These make me lust after the pink Jeffrey Campbell sandals even more though, so I might have to wait and see what will go on sale after the holidays...

Expecting
It's the beginning of a new month, which means my Visa bill is back at zero. And we can't have that, now can we? Not when I have been lusting after shoes and counting the days until I can buy them. So that's what I rushed home to do. I can't wait until my packages arrive so I can show you the goods!
First up, the Jessica Simpsons I was talking about earlier this week. I was definitely having a hard time to choose between these plum ones or the pink Jeffrey Campbells. I ended up ordering these after all, since I think the dark plum will be more versatile (hello tights!) and easier to keep clean, and the T-bar is slightly narrower, which I hope will be more elegant on my feet. I had no other choice but to order them from the US, which makes them a lot more expensive (shipping + customs), so I hope they'll be worth it.
Next up, the infamous Senso Wilma boots in hot pink leopard. I'm still on the fence about these, but after talking with a couple of people (hello dear colleagues!) who all agreed that this boot screams my name, I decided to just go with my gut feeling. I ordered a size up, like they said, so I hope they'll fit perfectly and look as good as I expect them to.
I ordered these from Solestruck, again an American website, but I dodged the shipping costs. Shipping would have added up to 30 dollars. Then the website said that I would get free delivery if I spent another 39 dollars. Which I then did. My eye fell on this shoe by Carlos Santana (who knew he made women's shoes, so weird??!), which seems to be a pretty easy shoe for Summer shopping trips and the likes. Besides, I got rid of my only pair of gold shoes recently, so that worked out pretty perfect.

An evening well spent, I think. And now I'm not allowed to buy anything for the next month or so. Except for presents, of course. And maybe I can convince Santa to refund me the pink Wilmas. Cheeky, I am, oh yes.

Incomprehensible: Daisy loves Dany
| Dany by Jessica Simpson ($98) |
I was able to control myself with the tan leather and the black velvet. But this... how could I ever say no to purple velvet? On a summer shoe?! That might even look good with tights in Winter. OMG, what the hell am I saying???!
Anyway, I think these have swiftly made it to the top of my December-list. Perfect shoesies to go and celebrate New Year's in London, me thinks!
*edit* Girls, I'm going to need your help on this one! I've been looking and looking, but can't seem to find a website that sells these and delivers internationally. Either I find a website that only sells them in regular black and tan leather, or they don't deliver outside of the USA. Merde! If you know a suitable website, please let me know so in the comments.
And otherwise, I'll just have to go for the real Jeffrey Campbell-thing. But as rare as this situation is, I actually prefer the purple velvet to the pink suede. Besides, I'd probably never be able to leave Solestruck without adding some Senso Wilma boots to my basket. I am in dire need of some leopard print boots, after all!
*edit* Victory is mine! Now all I have to do is resist until next week or so. Would be great if I could find a European website though. Ordering from the USA costs a fortune in customs taxes. Ugh!
