Sensuous
At first I thought these might make a good budget alternative to Louboutin's studded Pigalles. But then I noticed the studs. In closeup, they appear to be the exact same shade as the uppers, which gives the shoe a bit of a "diseased" look, like they're suffering from a weirdly uniform and probably painful skin rash or something.
So I decided not to spend my $49 on them.

Gelato
Icecream, can't be bad, right? And it does actually look a bit like a strawberry ice cream as well. I love the different pink hues, the lattice work on the platform and that extraordinary bow, and the little stitching at the back. Look at that detail on those tiny cutouts! Exquisite!
Best news? They also come in a blue/teal and a camel version.
Sadly, the pink ones (that I like most, obvs) are the only ones that aren't on sale...

Sand storm
It's not very often that I stop to take a second look at a neutral coloured shoe nowadays, but I gladly made an exception for these. Although this particular nude reminds me more of "sand" or "beige", I particularly like the polka dots and the strap across the foot. Elegant yet playful. And not very expensive either, especially since Dorothy Perkins is offering 20 % off all shoes today!

Shoe challenge #89: Champagne
These satin peep toes were without a doubt the hardest shoes in my collection to save. Obviously because of the fabric, especially combined with the Belgian weather, but also because I had nothing in my wardrobe that matched the colour perfectly. I could have gone for a LBD, but I noticed the tiny hints of champagne in this dress (after I did my succesful trick of walking around putting the shoes next to the clothing). To be completely honest, I did not go to work in these. I had intended to, but right as I wanted to leave it started pouring again. Oh, only one more week until I can bask in the Turkish sunshine!
I love this dress, I do. I love the pattern, the poofy skirt and the quirky neckline, even if it makes the booby department look ginormous. Which isn't always good.
The shoes, well, let's just say they're not exactly the most comfortable ones. Not only did they cut my heel, they cut my toes as well. Not really the ones I would wear to a party, that's for sure. But hey, at least they're saved, I can think of occasions to wear them later! And now soon, the very last pair of shoes!!

Shoe challenge #55: A love affair
Dress (Dorothy Perkins) and shoes (Kurt Geiger)
What I did know though, was that those shoes were coming home with me. They were the perfect height, a bit higher than what I was used to at that time, but not too high to be (entirely) uncomfortable. To top that off, their colour matched my skintone perfectly (which we all know makes your legs look endless) and I just couldn't resist the cute bows. These shoes match every piece in my wardrobe. And they were on sale. Woop woop!
Long story short, I bought them for about £45 (originally £85) and wore them silly. So this is where my little white lie comes in. Those shoes on my feet? Aren't exactly the shoes I'm talking about. Let's take a look shall we?
Spot the seven differences! No really, my originals are completely worn down. I've walked miles and miles in them (yes, they are that comfortable), danced and danced at parties and basically they have been my go to shoes for years, knowing that they fit wonderfully and go with everything. I think this photo (new ones to the left, obv) says it all really:
To me it was only logical to chase them down on eBay and I actually didn't even have to wait very long for a pair of 4's to pop up. I think I got them for about £34 (I got lured into a bidding war with someone else, but I conquered!), but to be honest, I think I would have paid the original £85 for them. Obviously I'm still going to hang onto the old ones, they can be the party version. I would cry if the second pair got ruined.

Shoe challenge #16: Deep burgundy
Purple jeans (H&M), top (NafNaf) and shoes (KENs)
Part of the Lady Dragon club
At least I was right to suspect that the white they were labelled as, actually turned out to be the pretty beige version. These are actually gorgeous and they received a lot of compliments from colleagues today. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the smell. The fake bubblegum smell. I could do without, but hey, everyone has a cold nowadays anyway.
